About Us

The Sleepaway Basketball Palooza is the brainchild of Nick Resavy, former Syracuse University player and coach, and Rob Bortstein, a youth sports program director.

Nick, a year-round youth basketball coach has an uncanny ability working with kids to develop basketball skills, build confidence and increase their love of the sport. Rob, a youth sports program director and father of two, was a lifelong “sleepaway camper,” attended both basketball and traditional overnight camps throughout his childhood. Summer Sleepaway Basketball Palooza was created to offer children the best of both.

“THE MOST UNIQUE BASKETBALL AND SUMMER CAMP EXPERIENCE ON THE EAST COAST” was born from the combination of experience and passion brought by Nick, Rob and their coaching staff.
